Small team.
Serious work.
High standards.

We're iSocialize Technologies. We build custom software and do real cybersecurity work for businesses in India, the US, and Europe. We're not a body-shop, we're not a 500-person IT services firm, and we're not hiring to fill seats.

I started this company in 2008 because I wanted to build things properly โ€” with good architecture, honest communication, and actual security thinking baked in from the start. Not as an afterthought, not because a client asked for it.

The team we have now is small, and I intend to keep it that way. I'd rather have six people who genuinely care about their work than sixty people going through the motions. When we hire, I'm not looking for someone who can pass a LeetCode test under pressure โ€” I'm looking for someone whose GitHub or past work makes me curious, and who talks about what they've built the way a craftsman talks about their trade.

If that sounds like you, I'd like to hear from you โ€” even if we're not hiring right now.

What working here looks like

Not job description language. What actually happens week to week.

01
You talk to clients. Directly.

No account managers sitting between you and the person who needs the software built. You join the calls, understand the problem yourself, and take responsibility for what you build. That can feel like pressure โ€” it also means your work actually gets used.

02
You own a feature from conversation to deployment.

We're not a factory where you get handed tickets. You scope things, you build them, you test them, you help explain them to the client. This is a lot of responsibility. It's also the fastest way to actually get good at building software.

03
Security is everyone's concern, not just the security team.

We do cybersecurity professionally โ€” which means our developers know what SQL injection looks like, what a misconfigured S3 bucket means, and why that unvalidated input matters. You'll learn this on the job if you don't know it already.

04
Variety is unavoidable.

One week you might be building a logistics dashboard for a Mumbai manufacturer. The next, a mobile app for a healthcare provider in Texas. That breadth is interesting if you're curious โ€” it's exhausting if you want to specialise in one narrow stack forever.

05
You say when something is wrong. Before it's a problem.

If a timeline is unrealistic, you say so early โ€” not in week 5 when it's a crisis. If a client's spec has a hole in it, you raise it before writing a line of code. We'd rather have an uncomfortable conversation on day 2 than a disaster on day 45.

Is this the right place for you?

Both columns are equally important to read.

โœ“ You'll thrive here if...

  • โ†’ You get slightly bothered when you see someone else's code that could be cleaner
  • โ†’ You've built something on your own โ€” just because you wanted to see if you could
  • โ†’ "That's not my job" isn't a phrase that comes naturally to you
  • โ†’ You learn new things in your own time โ€” not because someone told you to
  • โ†’ You can explain a technical decision to a non-technical person without being condescending
  • โ†’ Small team, real ownership, and direct impact matter more to you than a fancy job title

โœ— This probably isn't right if...

  • โ†’ You want a predictable 9-to-5 with no ambiguity about what tomorrow looks like
  • โ†’ You need detailed task breakdowns before you can start anything
  • โ†’ Client-facing communication feels uncomfortable or something to avoid
  • โ†’ You prefer specialising deeply in one thing and never touching anything else
  • โ†’ You're looking for a stepping stone to a bigger company in 6 months
  • โ†’ You need a lot of supervision and check-ins to stay on track

We're hiring

One position open right now. Read carefully before applying.

Global Marketing Lead
Remote ยท Mumbai preferred Full-time Midโ€“Senior India ยท US ยท EU markets
Now hiring

iSocialize has grown almost entirely on word of mouth and inbound SEO โ€” which says something about the quality of our work, but leaves a lot on the table. We're present in India, the US, and Europe. We have real clients in all three. We have good case studies, a legitimate cybersecurity track record, and 18 years of actual work to talk about.

What we don't have is someone who owns marketing as their full-time job. That's what this role is. You'd be the first dedicated marketing hire โ€” which means you'd have real authority to shape how iSocialize is positioned globally, what we publish, where we show up, and who we show up for.

This isn't a role where you execute someone else's strategy. You'll build the strategy, get it agreed, and then do the work โ€” or coordinate the people who do it with you. We'll give you the tools, the budget, and the access you need. We'll stay out of the way when you know what you're doing.

What you'll own
  • Content marketing โ€” blog, LinkedIn, thought leadership from Shreyas's voice
  • SEO โ€” we already rank for some things; you'll push further and find gaps
  • Paid channels โ€” Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads (India + US + EU)
  • Email outreach and nurture sequences for inbound leads
  • PR and media โ€” getting iSocialize into the right Indian tech and business publications
  • Global positioning โ€” different messages land differently in Mumbai vs. San Francisco vs. Berlin
  • Partner and referral marketing โ€” we have a partner programme that's underused
What we're looking for
  • 3+ years in B2B marketing โ€” tech services, SaaS, or cybersecurity preferred
  • You understand a long sales cycle โ€” enterprise software deals don't close from a single Instagram post
  • Comfortable writing yourself โ€” not just briefing copywriters
  • You can read Google Analytics, Search Console, and ad dashboards without needing a tutorial
  • Experience marketing to at least two of our three geographies (India, US, EU)
  • Opinionated about what works and what's a waste of money โ€” and willing to say so
  • You don't need hand-holding. You can take "we want more qualified leads from the US" and turn it into a plan.

Honest note on what this role isn't: it's not a brand manager role where you're refining a Canva template. It's not a social media executive role. The person we hire will eventually build a small team around them โ€” but in the first 6 months, you're doing the work yourself and proving the model. If that sounds like too much, it probably isn't the right fit.

How we hire

Four steps. No trick questions. No tenth round.

1
Your email

Short note, a link to something you've done, what you're looking for. No templates.

2
30-min call

With Shreyas. We talk about your work, our work, and whether there's a real fit. Casual, direct.

3
Paid task

A small task reflecting real work โ€” 2โ€“4 hours, paid. You get feedback regardless of outcome.

4
Decision

Clear answer within 5 working days. We tell you exactly why if it's a no. No ghosting.

Not the marketing role?
Introduce yourself anyway.

We keep a shortlist of engineers, security researchers, and technical people we'd want to work with. When a role opens, that's where we look first โ€” not job boards. If you've read this page and it resonated, send us a note.

What to include: Who you are ยท What you build or do ยท What kind of work you're looking for ยท A link to something real (GitHub, portfolio, live project, a piece of writing).
What to skip: A CV formatted like a school project ยท "I am a hardworking and passionate individual" ยท A cover letter that could apply to any company on earth.
