Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview

iSocialize Technologies operates on fixed-price, milestone-based contracts. This policy explains your rights and our obligations if a project is cancelled, delayed, or a dispute arises. We've written it to be clear and fair to both sides โ€” not to hide behind legal language.

1. Project Cancellation โ€” By the Client

If you decide to cancel a project after signing the agreement:

  • Before work begins (within 72 hours of contract signing): Full refund of any advance payment, minus bank transfer fees if applicable. No questions asked.
  • After work has begun โ€” incomplete milestone: You are entitled to all work completed and documented up to the point of cancellation. The advance payment for the current milestone is non-refundable, but you pay nothing for the remaining milestones. We will deliver all work-in-progress code, assets, and documentation within 5 business days.
  • After a completed milestone has been signed off: Payments for completed and signed-off milestones are non-refundable. Subsequent milestone payments are not due and will not be charged.

Cancellations must be communicated in writing (email to growth@isocialize.co.in). Verbal communication is not sufficient.

2. Project Cancellation โ€” By iSocialize

iSocialize reserves the right to cancel an engagement in limited circumstances:

  • Client payment is overdue by more than 30 days and not resolved after two written reminders
  • The project scope is found to involve illegal activity, fraud, or violation of applicable law
  • Client communication has ceased for more than 30 days without explanation

If iSocialize cancels a project, we will refund the pro-rata portion of any advance payment for work not yet commenced. All completed work will be delivered to the client before final closure.

3. The 60-Day Warranty Period

All delivered projects include a 60-day warranty from the date of final delivery sign-off. During this period:

  • Bugs and defects within the agreed project scope are fixed at no additional cost
  • Fixes are typically delivered within 3โ€“5 business days depending on severity (critical bugs within 24 hours)
  • The warranty does not cover new feature requests, changes to requirements, or issues caused by client modifications to the delivered code

If a critical defect makes the delivered software substantially non-functional and cannot be resolved within 10 business days of reporting, the client may request a partial refund proportional to the affected functionality. This is rare โ€” we've honoured it twice in 18 years โ€” but it's here in writing because we believe in fair dealing.

4. Cybersecurity & Compliance Service Refunds

  • Security audits / VAPT: Once the engagement has commenced and the scope work (reconnaissance, scanning, initial analysis) has begun, the engagement fee is non-refundable. You will always receive the completed report for work carried out.
  • Compliance readiness programs (SOC 2, HIPAA, DPDP): Milestone-based billing applies. Completed milestones (gap analysis, policy drafting, control documentation) are non-refundable. Remaining milestones can be cancelled with 14 days' written notice.
  • Free website security scan: This tool is provided at no charge. No refund is applicable.

5. How to Request a Refund

Email growth@isocialize.co.in with:

  • Your name and company name
  • Project name / reference number (from your invoice or contract)
  • The specific reason for the refund request
  • The amount you believe is refundable under this policy

We will acknowledge within 2 business days and respond with a decision within 7 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days via the original payment method.

6. Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision, we encourage direct discussion โ€” most disputes resolve quickly when both sides explain their position clearly. If we cannot reach agreement, disputes are subject to the dispute resolution process outlined in your project agreement, and ultimately to the jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India under Indian law.

For EU clients, applicable EU consumer protection regulations apply in addition to the above.

7. What This Policy Does Not Cover

This policy covers refunds for iSocialize's own fees. It does not cover:

  • Third-party costs you have incurred (cloud hosting, domain registration, third-party APIs, software licences) โ€” these are governed by those providers' own refund policies
  • Costs incurred by you due to project delays where the delay was caused by late client approvals, change requests, or failure to provide required access or information
  • Dissatisfaction with a completed and approved deliverable that was built to specification โ€” if the spec was incorrect, that is a change request, not a refund scenario
