Independent software proposal review
Before you approve it,
know what you are paying for.

We confirm the final fee, document limits, any applicable taxes and delivery date before payment. Larger projects or multiple proposals are quoted separately.
Discuss your proposalWhat we look at
The detail behind the estimate.
Is the work defined?
Features, users, integrations, assumptions and exclusions. We flag wording that leaves too much open to interpretation.
Does the estimate make sense?
We assess the price against the stated complexity and work involved, and identify what needs more detail before the cost can be judged.
Is there room to deliver properly?
Design, development, integrations, testing, deployment and your approvals. We highlight dependencies that may affect the schedule.
What comes after launch?
Hosting, licences, usage charges, support and maintenance. We flag missing or unclear costs that could affect your budget.
What will you receive?
Source code, infrastructure access, documentation, ownership provisions and support terms. We identify points to clarify with your vendor.
How is completion agreed?
Milestones, demonstrations, acceptance criteria and changes. We check whether both sides can tell when a deliverable is complete.
Your written assessment
Clear findings.
Better questions.
You receive a PDF explaining the concerns, their implications and what to clarify. We then discuss the report with you for 30 minutes.
These examples illustrate the report format. They are not findings about your vendor.
Example review notes
Which provider, currencies and payment flows are included? Confirm refunds, failed payments and testing responsibilities.
The schedule does not specify when content and design approval are needed. Ask for milestones and the effect of delayed decisions.
Support is mentioned without a duration or scope. Confirm what is included, how issues are handled and what is charged separately.
How the review works
1. Share the context
Tell us what you want built, the proposal length and your decision deadline. We confirm whether we can take on the review, then agree the fee and delivery date.
2. Confirm and pay
Once scope and payment arrangements are agreed, share the proposal and requirements through the agreed channel. Remove confidential details that are not needed.
3. Receive your report
We email your individual PDF assessment and arrange the 30 minute discussion. You can use the findings with your chosen developer.
Before you send the proposal
Can you tell us the exact correct price?
We assess whether an estimate is supported by the stated scope and assumptions. There is no single correct price for every project. If details are missing, we identify what is needed for a reliable assessment.
Is this a legal or code review?
This service is an engineering assessment of the proposal. It does not include legal advice, source code testing or an audit of the vendor. We may flag ownership or commercial wording for clarification or specialist advice.
What if the proposal is confidential?
Only share documents you have permission to disclose. Remove unnecessary personal details, credentials and sensitive information. An NDA can be arranged before you share the document.
Do I receive a report immediately?
The report is prepared after reviewing your documents. Fee, document limits and delivery date are agreed before payment. Sending an enquiry does not generate a report or place a paid order.
Have a proposal to evaluate?
Send us the project context.
Tell us what you want built, how long the proposal is and when you need to decide. We will confirm the paid review scope and fee before you share the full document.
Payment is arranged directly after scope confirmation. No payment is collected on this page.
